Baby boomers jump on the Facebook bandwagon

Inside Facebook recently outlined user growth by age group covering the 120 days preceding February 1st. While 18-25 year olds still account for the most users on Facebook, the fastest growing segments include the 45-65 age groups. Interestingly, women over 55 accounted for the highest percentage growth (175.3%) with over 456,760 joining from October to January. Facebook now claims over 45 million active users throughout the United States.
